U.S. teachers Send Books and Academic Resources to Uganda

April 17, 2013 Teachers change lives. With the help of educators in the United States, St. Patrick Catholic School’s third grade teacher Mrs. Jenny Saldana has been busy organizing academic resources for second and third grade teachers at St. Jude Primary School in Rubongi, Uganda. Teachers at St. Jude struggle with overcrowded classrooms, and few academic supplies and resources. Improving teacher working conditions and increasing teacher resources are one of the most successful approaches to improved learning in the classroom.

Books and curriculum donated by St. Patrick Catholic School in Tacoma, USA, recently arrived in Rubongi classrooms. Teachers and students were overjoyed to receive their new books, thanks to the efforts of St. Pat teacher Jenny Saldana and her school.
